Training Information

Level I Certification Training: This course is designed to certify beginners and currently certified USA, high school and collegiate swim officials in the YMCA of the USA’s Competitive Swimming Program.   The course focuses on events, procedures and the duties/responsibilities of the officials, prior to, during, and after the meet.   Open to all interested Parents/Friends of the Team who hold a current YMCA membership.

Level I-Re-Certification Training:  This course is designed to re-certify current Level II Officials prior to their certification expiration date.  The course focuses on a review of the advanced events, procedures and the duties/responsibilities of the officials, prior to, during, and after the meet.  Open to all currently certified Level II Officials.

Level II Certification Training:  This course is designed to further certify currently Level I Officials in the YMCA of the USA's Competitive Swimming Program.  The course focuses on advanced events, procedures and the duties/responsibilities of the officials, prior to, during, and after the meet.  Open to all currently certified Level I Officials having met their post-instruction observation/meet hours.

Refresher Clinics: These clinics are suggested for all officials to officiate at Districts.   Officials who are not up for renewal can attend these clinics or the above listed clinics for refresher opportunities.  Officials, who are up for renewal, must attend the above listed clinics only.
