Matt Lindstrom
Head Coach
Coach Matt is from Rockford, Illinois. Matt is currently majoring in Business Administration at Western Illinois University. Matt started swimming when he was five and swam consistently until he was twelve. He set records for his club team and made Junior Olympic (JO's) qualifying times early on, before his parents made him try other sports, Matt fell back into swimming in high school and became an life-long swim competitor.
Matt has coached for the Dolphins for four years now and has spent two summers coaching the Belvidere Barracudas summer programs. He is most proud of helping numerous swimmers accomplish their goals of making new friends, having fun, and falling in love with swimming. Currently a USA Coach with Level 1 ASCA (American Swim Coaching Association) certification, Matt continues to learn and advance his training/knowledge. Coach Matt enjoys keeping swimmers motivated and driven towards a goal. His ultimate goal each year is to make sure every swimmer improves and develops a love for swimming. His hobbies include competitive intramural sports, swimming, lifting, and hanging out with friends.
